ŠKODA starts the production of CNC machines.

Already in the middle of 70s had been developed the first heavy horizontal boring and milling machine type W (diameter of spindle 200 mm), which was equiped with continuous CNC system and was at that time with its dimension in combination with continuous control world Unixe. The machine with a rotary table had been delivered to the italian company Oto Melare. Since the year 1980 was the CNC machines a standard part of the production.
