Among the special services offered by the company is assistance to the customers in seeking the optimum work-station configuration with respect to the customer requirements or the technological requirements associated with particular products to be manufactured. Extensive experience and skills of the company project designers are the best guaranty for attaining the optimum technical solution at reasonable investment costs.

The ŠKODA machine tools can be used as individual machines in basic configuration, as universal work stations or, in combination with various additional equipment, as single-purpose special-technology work stations (see the examples below). Such work stations are successfully used in many countries of the world.

• Horizontal work station including rotational manipulator for steam-turbine rotor shaft machining.
• Horizontal work station with a special spindle head for milling slots in generator rotor shafts.
• Special horizontal work station used for machining forged crankshafts of maximum length 15,000mm and maximum weight 15,000kg.
• Work station for machining the CASTOR (spent nuclear fuel) containers.
